The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) is the principal source of collections for Scotland’s archaeology, buildings and maritime heritage. There are several million items in the collections comprising photographs, drawings, manuscripts, aerial photographs and other visual and documentary material. We actively seek and gather information and material from a wide range of sources for the collection. These include:
