ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES (5-14) - HISTORY - PEOPLE IN THE PAST
· People, events and societies of significance in the past
· Change and continuity, cause and effect
· Time and historical sequence
· The nature of historical evidence

Photographs and maps from our collections, showing how buildings and physical features have changed over time, could be used in the creation of a walking tour with study focused on interpreting primary sources and revealing how they can be both useful and limited.

Students could then consider the following questions and tasks:

· Sketch or photograph the sites/buildings as they appear today

· Compare historical descriptions, the historic photographs, and their own images

· Make a group presentation to explain what changes have occurred
