Improvements to the RCAHMS Archive Store

The second stage of major improvements are underway to change how the RCAHMS National Collection is stored within its Edinburgh premises at John Sinclair House.

The work will increase the capacity and quality of the specialist archival storage that RCAHMS can provide, leading to improved public access.

The work will result in some disruption to our public service from 23 January until 18 March 2013. The public search room services will be maintained throughout the period, but there will be no access to some catalogued drawings and manuscripts for visitors and customers. It is advisable to contact us in advance of a visit to check that any specific material is available and ready for your arrival.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused while the improvement work is ongoing.
