The Sir William Arrol Collection

'A Guide to the International Material held in the National Monuments Record of Scotland.'
The purpose of this catalogue is to assist access to the International material contained within the Sir William Arrol Collection. This includes subjects from elsewhere in the United Kingdom, including England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and from throughout the world as far afield as New Zealand. The catalogue also contains a brief history of the company as a whole, and together with the first 'Scottish' catalogue, constitutes a complete list of archival material within the Collection held by the National Monuments Record of Scotland. The publication contains over one hundred black and white images.

The Rapaki Crane Steamer, Auckland Harbour, New Zealand, 1926. General arrangement drawing of the crane, the capacity of which was 80 tons. The ship which propelled it was built by Fleming Ferguson Ltd of Paisley. It was originally built for use at Lyttleton Harbour near Christchurch, but is now part of the Auckland Maritime Museum.
